The need to protect the company from data loss and ensure business continuity requires the use of several data processing or storage centers. Connecting such locations with a point-to-point solution based on a DWDM carrier network reduces the company‘s own investment to zero and guarantees fast and secure data transfer.
DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) allows multiple simultaneous and separate transmissions of optical signals in a single fiber, using different wavelengths of light (frequencies). What‘s more, such data transmissions are low-loss over long distances.
A specific example of such a solution is xWDM in the Warsaw area. This is a dedicated connectivity system between established data centers in and around the capital, providing full separation and offering several redundancy scenarios to choose from (e.g. separate urban fiber routes with redundant active equipment).
